My story:
I need to lose some weight (don't we all...). I've always been overweight and I've recently added some extra on top of that. I'm in a situation where a gym isn't really a great option so I want to try this at home. Here's the problem...
There's a LOT of stuff out there, and a lot of it is crap.
Yup, fat girl is complaining not only that there's too much stuff but it's not good enough.
The problem I see is that for everything you need done there are at least 50 options, but like I said a lot of them suck. I'm talking about tracking things, videos, advice, everything.
So this isn't going to be a how-to necessarily, more just a 'feel free to follow along' blog. I'm going to do my best to scour around and look for sites that I find helpful, videos that I can work out to, and advice that sounds like it's worth following. (If anyone bothers reading this feel free to add in your own suggestions.)
Here's what you will never find:
Fad diets
Diet pills
Miracle fixes (and those are always lies anyway)
or any other marketing ploy. This is just me, a few pieces of workout equipment, some electronics I've gathered, and some determination.
As of now this is what I have for things:
Workout equipment:
-Set of 8LB dumbbells
-Exercise ball
-Exercise band with handles
-Yoga mat
Electronics:
iPhone
Fitbit
Also being carried into this adventure is PCOS. This makes losing weight extremely difficult so you can probably expect better weight loss than I have. I spent months with a personal trainer last year and lost like 2 pounds. She eventually gave up on weigh-ins because I looked better and the scale just couldn't reflect that. I'm hoping for some weight loss, but really this is about getting fit.
